Power Management

The CTM-ONE supports supply voltages ranging between 6-36 VDC. It has two power modes:

Standby

4 mA

Device is in low power standby mode;

Operating system is in standby mode for quick boot and modem can wake up on a timer or motion detection.

The device will spend most of its time in this mode, triggers such as timer or ignition state change will bring the device out of this mode into Operating System mode.

Operating

80-300 mA

In this mode the device is transmitting/receiving data

Power consumption in this mode varies based on modem workload and radio network coverage.

Power management is controlled either by ignition or CAN Bus. By default, the CTM-ONE remains powered on continuously when connected to external power with power management disabled.
