In-Vehicle

The CTM-500 uses external antennas for cellular, Wi-Fi and GPS(GNSS). Cypress Solutions recommends:

• Power from vehicle DLC (diagnostic link connector) (OBDII/J1939) - no other cabling required

• For vehicles where DLC is not supported/desired, the device can be connected with a DC power cable

CAN2.0B Bus

The CAN interface is primarily utilized to connect to vehicle subsystems that support CAN communications. This includes small and light-duty vehicles manufactured in 2008 and later (ISO 15765-4), as well as heavy-duty vehicles that are compatible with J1939 protocol.

The CTM-500 supports both medium and high-speed CAN interfaces.
