Power for the CTM-ONE can be sourced through an AC/DC wall adapter for continuous operation. Alternatively, a DC power cable can connect to a DC power source within the range of 7-32 VDC.

Moreover, ignition line detection is supported, allowing the CTM-ONE to transition into standby/suspend modes for low-power scenarios.

Please refer to Appendix 1: Power for more detail.

Simply connect an appropriate power source to the 4-pin locking connector marked with the power icon (blue star) .

Operation/Standby Line

Picture1.png

When the operate/standby line is utilized, the CTM-ONE can leverage the state of this line through its "ignition sense" features. Even when the ignition line is wired, the CTM-ONE does not completely shut down; instead, it consumes a minimal amount of power (ranging from 1.2mW to 40mW) to monitor the status of various inputs. This allows the device to "wake on events" that occur while in low power mode.

Advantages of connecting power using the vehicle's operate/standby or ignition line include:

  • Reporting and logging of Ignition ON/OFF events.

  • Activation of shutdown based on a timer, such as turning off the CTM-ONE ten minutes after ignition has been turned off.

Before connecting any external cables (GPS, Cellular RF, Wi-Fi RF, WPAN RF, serial, Ethernet, GPIO, CAN), ensure that the power cable is correctly wired on the battery side. In some instances, connecting the battery input in reverse may result in damage that is not covered under warranty.

Please refer to Appendix 1: Power for more detail.
