Updating Firmware Using a Laptop

The CTM-ONE can be configured via a web interface. This interface also facilitates firmware upgrades for the CTM-ONE.

Pre-requisites

  • CTM-ONE

  • CTM-ONE power source (CAN or battery)

  • Laptop

  • Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi

  • CTM-ONE firmware file

    • Provided as an attachment or via download link

    • Before proceeding to the vehicle, copy the file to your laptop while you are connected to the Internet.

Steps

  1. Proceed to the vehicle where the CTM-ONE is installed and connect the device via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  2. Ensure the CTM-ONE is powered on by confirming that the power LED displays a solid green light.

  1. The web interface can be accessed via https://cypsolutions.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CTMONE/pages/2393604464. Upon successful connection, you will be directed to the CTM-ONE dashboard and prompted to log in.

Depending on the firmware version, upon initial login, you might be prompted to change the default password that came with the modem. This password is usually printed on the label of the CTM-ONE.

  1. Select Install Firmware from the left-side menu under ‘Device Management’ tab.

  1. Press the Choose file button and select the firmware file from the laptop.

  1. Press the Upload Firmware Image button.

 

  1. Press the Start Firmware Install button.

  1. Wait a few minutes while the firmware is installed and the modem restarts.

 

  1. Verify the the firmware was upgraded by reviewing the version displayed in the homepage of the screen.
