Power Management
The CTM-400N wireless gateway has three power modes:
Mode | Current @ 12V | Description | Mode change event |
Standby | 2 mA | Device is in low power mode with wakeup.
| The device may spend most of its time in this mode, various configurable triggers will bring the device out of this mode into Operating Mode. |
Operating | 300mA | Device fully operational.
| The device will go back into standby mode when the ignition/standby signal is deactivated or upon expiry of the power ON timer if configured. |
Off | 10uA | Device is in minimal power. | The device draws power from internal battery with wake only when external DC is restored. |
Power management is controlled either by ignition line. The default configuration of the CTM-400N is to stay powered on continuously when connected to external power.
NOTE: The CTM-400N has an internal rechargeable battery for short-term power use in the case power is lost from the connection (up to 5 hours of battery life).
