If a SIM card becomes stuck in the SIM holder, DO NOT attempt to force its removal as this could damage the SIM holder. Please contact Cypress Solutions Support for assistance. In certain instances where the modem fails to detect a SIM card, this may result from manufacturing tolerances of the SIM card. Adding a thin piece of Scotch tape to the backside of the SIM to slightly increase its thickness can aid in ensuring electrical contact with the SIM holder contacts. For single SIM card installation, it is recommended to use the LOWER slot of the dual-SIM holder. The LOWER slot is referred to as SIM2 slot. The UPPER slot, referred to as SIM1 slot, is located furthest away from the printed circuit board.
